39th Annual Fall Festival at Lukas Nursery
Stop by the 39th Annual Fall Festival at Lukas Nursery, then pick up some plants while you’re there. The Oviedo nursery’s long-running fall festival is a favorite of local families. This year’s festival will take place on October 19-20.
The festival will have a dunk tank, hayride, farm animals, pumpkin painting, and more. It’ll also include something called a “corn kernel pit,” which sounds vaguely ominous but is apparently the farm equivalent of a ball pit.
Tickets are $10-$20. If you want to do the hayride but not the other festival activities, you can buy a hayride-only ticket.

Fall Festival at Painted Oaks Academy
If you’re looking for Central Florida fall festivals, try Painted Oaks Academy, located near the University of Central Florida.
The equestrian school and ranch hosts a fun event each year. I went with a friend during the pandemic, and we had a great time wandering the corn maze and visiting the horse stables.
This year, Painted Oaks Academy will run its annual pumpkin patch from October 5-31 from 11am-6pm. The fall festival takes place on weekends only.

Fall on the Farm at Grande Lakes Orlando
For an elevated fall festival experience, try Fall on the Farm at Grande Lakes Orlando. This upscale resort is throwing a fall extravaganza on its lawn from October 12-13.

Horses are the main attraction at the Fall on the Farm Festival and Horse Costume Parade. This festival takes place on October 13 at Crossroads Corral in Longwood. In addition to enjoying fall-themed activities and food, you’ll get to watch a parade of horses dressed in costume.
Tickets are $25 per family (not per person). Pony rides will also be available for $10.

Lake Catherine Farms Fall Festival
Lake Catherine Farms in Groveland is hosting its annual fall festival on Fridays-Sundays from September 27-October 27.
This is one of the more popular Central Florida Fall festivals. With musicians, food, a pumpkin patch, and a children’s playground, the festival is free and all-ages friendly.
But that’s not all. The farm also offers three ticketed Halloween attractions:
- The Fall Scavenger Hunt Maze, a kid-friendly corn maze
- The Haunted Halloween Maze, themed to the chilling tale of a little girl who vanished a century ago (Friday and Saturday nights)
- The Dark Forest Trail of Terror, a terrifying journey through the woods (Friday and Saturday nights)

A pumpkin patch at a Christmas tree farm? Sounds like The Nightmare Before Christmas, but it’s actually A Lot of Pumpkins. Santa’s Christmas Tree Forest in Eustis hosts this fall festival on weekends from September 23-October 30 (with select weekdays in October).
This fall event will include a pumpkin patch, farm animal petting zoo, hayride, and kids play area. There’s even a trail to wander down (called the “Slight Fright Trail”) and a maze to navigate. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can do horse and pony rides or zipline rides on select days for an extra fee.
The farm will host Doggie Dress-Up Days with twice-daily costume contests. And on October 28-30, you can trick or treat at the farm.

Ever seen that giant orange by the road as you’re driving through Umatilla? If the answer is yes, then you’ve found the site of the Fall Festival at Sunsational Farms. The Big Orange, as it’s known, will become a Big Jack O’Lantern for the farm’s annual festival.
This free festival will offer carnival games, a bounce house, face painting, and more. You can also buy full-size and mini pumpkins here.
The festival will be held every Saturday from September 28-October 19. On October 26, the farm will run a “tent or treat” event instead of the festival.
