We’re just two months away from the grand opening of Epic Universe, the massive new theme park at Universal Orlando. One-day Epic Universe tickets went on sale on March 13. As expected, eager fans flooded the Universal website to reserve their spot.
To say I’m excited about this park is an understatement. I’ve been following the construction updates for months, and I grabbed my ticket as soon as I heard the news. I’m typically not a huge theme park person, but there’s something about this park that has me seriously hyped.

I’m in an Epic Universe social media group, and there’s been no shortage of questions about buying park tickets. The same questions keep popping up, so I figured it would be helpful to gather the answers in one place for you.
Whether you’re a local who’s been keeping an eye on the park construction or you’re planning a Universal trip from out of state, here’s everything you need to know about buying Epic Universe tickets.
What are my Epic Universe ticket options?
On the Universal website, you can choose between a 1-day ticket for Epic Universe or a multi-day Universal ticket that includes a visit to the park. If you’re looking to stay on property, you can also book a Universal resort package that includes a day at Epic Universe.
1-Day Tickets
Single-day Epic Universe tickets are available for any date starting on June 1, 2025. Ticket prices range from $139-$199 plus tax for adults. Children’s tickets (ages 3-9) start at $134.00.
(Note: There’s no Florida resident discount on these tickets.)
The website shows prices through December 31. Epic Universe tickets are most expensive during the summer and holidays, while September is the least expensive month.

Multi-Day Universal Tickets
If you want to visit more than one Universal park, you can buy a multi-day ticket that includes a day at Epic Universe. These tickets are available for any date starting May 23, 2025.
You can visit Epic Universe on any one day while the ticket is valid. For example, if you purchase a 3-day ticket with June 5 as your start date, the ticket is valid for 6 days. This means you can visit Epic Universe once between June 5-10.
TIP: If you’re a Florida resident looking to buy a 2- or 3-day ticket, be sure to toggle Florida Resident Discounts to “Yes.”

Resort Packages
If you’re planning a multi-day Universal trip, you can book a Universal Orlando Resort package that includes 1 day of admission to Epic Universe.
While Universal resorts typically offer a free Express Pass to guests, this perk isn’t currently available for Epic Universe.
However, resort guests will still get 1 hour of early entry into the new park. The following rides will be open during early entry:
- Donkey Kong: Mine Cart Madness
- Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge
- Yoshi’s Adventure
- Stardust Racers
Help! I want to book a 1-day ticket, but all I’m seeing are multi-day options.
I’ve seen a lot of people with this issue. I had the same problem—until I realized that you just need to filter the website for 1-day tickets.
If you’re not seeing the tickets, go to the Days Visiting filter and make sure the box next to “1 Day” is checked. Once you do that, the single-day tickets should appear as an option.

I don’t think one day will be enough to experience the park. Can I buy multi-day Epic Universe tickets?
As of now, multi-day Epic Universe tickets aren’t available for purchase. However, you can buy multiple 1-day tickets for different dates. I’ve seen a few people mention that they’ve done this.
That said, Universal has confirmed that 2-day Epic Universe tickets will be available before the park opens, so you might want to hold off until then.
I’m a Universal Passholder. Do I get a discount on Epic Universe tickets?
Yes, Annual and Seasonal Passholders can purchase 1-day Epic Universe tickets at a discount. You can buy up to 6 tickets per transaction for yourself and any Passholders linked to your account.
Visit the Universal website for more info about Passholders and Epic Universe tickets.
Can I get an annual pass to Epic Universe?
Not yet. Universal has stated that information about adding Epic Universe to annual passes will be available at a later date.
I have a Military Freedom Pass. Can I add a day at Epic Universe to my ticket?
Yes! As a Military Freedom Pass holder, you can purchase 1 day at Epic Universe at a discounted rate as an add-on to your ticket. Just be sure your Military Freedom Pass is activated before making the purchase. There’s a limit of 6 tickets per transaction.
You can find more info about the Military Freedom Pass and Epic Universe tickets on the Universal website.
Is it worth visiting Epic Universe this year, or will it be too crowded?
This is a tough question to answer, as the park hasn’t opened yet. It’s unclear how much Universal will cap attendance.
Summer will likely see the biggest crowds, as it’s the busiest time of year for Orlando theme parks. However, once the novelty wears off and kids go back to school, crowd levels may decrease.
The bottom line: It’s anyone’s guess at this point. If you’re concerned about crowds, it might be worth waiting until the park opens to plan your visit.
Can I buy Epic Universe tickets at the gate?
The short answer is: maybe, but I wouldn’t risk it if you’re not local.
Since we don’t know what the crowd situation will look like, it’s too early to know whether Epic Universe tickets will sell out in advance. If you’re from out of state and want to visit the park, I recommend buying your ticket ahead of time.

Can I buy an Express Pass, VIP Tour, or Photo Pass for Epic Universe?
Yes. Express Passes, VIP Tours, and Photo Passes are now available as of March 27.
The Express Pass only allows you to skip the line once per ride; unlimited Express Passes haven’t launched yet. All rides are eligible for the Express Pass EXCEPT Dragon Racer’s Rally, Mine-Cart Madness, and Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry.
Tickets for the VIP Tour and Photo Pass are available on the Universal website. You can also buy tickets for the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, an add-on where a makeup artist transforms you into a Dark Universe monster.
